Sartin book club

Over the years I have collected many of the books Howard Sartin frst suggested in the Follow Up.

The I Ching, the works of the Tao and Eastern philosophy

Right now, I am reading for the third time a great book he suggested called COMPLEXITY. You owe it to yourself to be enlightened by this great work by Waldrop about the work of the Santa Fe Institute.

Hi Tim

I envy you. I wish I had time to read all the books
recommended by Howard Sartin in the pages of the Follow Ups

Thanks for the post and the push to get myself back into the books

I have been reading Franklin of Philadelphia, by Esmond Wright

Up in the photo finish booth, by myself, there is a lot of time between races and then there is the train/bus ride out to the track.........

The wonderful thing about Complexity is it's relationship to racing and the organization of chaos

Ever catch his (Francis riding for the Queen Mother) ride on Devon Lock in the Grand National? Horse was so tired it staggered into the stretch in front then promptly fell on it's belly.
