Tough race and will probably pass on this.I'll just give an opinion.
My contenders are 3-4-5-13 and probable pace of 49.4 and 112.3.
#13 and #3 to win.

My Winning Group:
4/13/12/5

Todays Projected Pace:
49.6/113.6

Early Scenario:
I believe this race will run early because of the preponderence of late and slow horses. RDSS points me to 12 and 5 as having the best energy distribution of the horses that are contenders to achieve this.

Tandems:
Many tandem relationships helped weed out slower horses to the above four horses.

Conclusion:
Bet 12 and 5 at sufficient odds. If not, bet 4 and then 13 if they qualify.

WO 7 Oct 25

The presence of a sprinter going route makes it very difficult for the early route horses.

6 Twilig showed a 48.8 workout over poly. Should go faster in a real race.

12 and 13 out of the faster tandem can press that pace.

Matching the OTE group 2nd call to stretch against similar times shows the 3 and 12 with power moves.

So, 3 to Win. Two horse win bet with W/P on 12 since the price should be higher.

Pook tabs another one! Others had the winner in their final contender mix too. I'll have some feedback soon, but for now, here is the chart...

Thanks Mike....the 5 ran from farther off the pace than I expected but in his PP's his 2 wins were from well off and moderately off. He seems to run both ways and I chose his last race as the paceline which I think was the right one. I think he found himself in a situation where he didn't expend his energy to be on pace and was able to use it all later.

Maybe Pete could speak to this but I find sometimes that you expect the race and or your selections to run a certain way but they don't and still you have a positive result.
Thanks Pete for your feedback.

Further to my point above and in kind of answering myself, I find matching up forces one to get into a race and really dig around unearthing contenders with good chances, no matter how the race actually runs. Would you concur Pete?

Pook, your thought process was right on.

Underestimated the closing ability of the Ryder Kay, my thought was that he would be closer to a fast pace and this would hurt his finish. Looks like the last race took too much out of Seawatch (6 year old), and she was closer to the pace than I anticipated.

My pace of race was pretty good (48-112/2: race 48/3-112/4). Good mind exercise (tough race).

Thanks Pete

Does anyone know where VOODOOFAN went or what happened to him, I'm curious, I loved his posts in the MatchUp?
