Modeling Question
Just wanted some opinions, if you've reduced your readouts to 5 contenders but the winner isn't one of the 5. Should you still include the data for the winner in your track model?
Thanks Carl |

Yes I recommend using all winners when modeling...since Howard taught us to print a before and after hides....if my winner was #8 then I still model that horse and his numbers, then try to find a reason why it won.....sometimes our programs don't give us a winner in the top 5..and we have to try to find that non-numerical factor that helped this horse win..I keep lots of notes....Good Luck to all in the Breeders Cup
