Froggy's 100 race report.

Today the Eighth race at Aqu. was my 100th race.
This is all Aqueduct.
I started out doing a side by side 100 race workout of RDSS and ENERGY.
I did three 20 race cycles and abandoned the whole project and decided I liked Energy better and would continue on with it by itself.
It's not that RDSS is not good but I just liked Energy better.
I had to get a dos printing system to make what I do work because I needed to take the printouts to the book.

That Ted is a sneaky guy. He has got me hooked on needing RDSS to do my work.
I use it to download and get APV & CLASS then I need Perceptor to pick my pace lines.

To keep things at a bare minimum, I have set it up on a $2 and $2 bet each race.
There is no progression or 60/40.
I bet every race included here and recorded every win and every loss.
This is not a work up after the fact.
Longest string of losers was 5 in a row and the longest string of winners was 12.
In the 5th cycle I mistakenly scratched the winning horse twice and then didn't have the winner in the program 3 more times.
I screwed up and still made money.
Only once did veer from procedure and It cost $6.
It is not easy watching the pick threes and exactas and not betting but it was more profitable to sit on my hands and let them go by.
I now know why Doc made you mail in your reports.
I hope somebody gets a little inspiration from this.

Good Luck,

Froggy

1st 20 race cycle.
Win 80% @ $9.49
ROI = $1.90

2nd 20 race cycle.
Win 59% @ $10.72
ROI = $1.34

3rd 20 race cycle.
Win 60% @ $13.08
ROI = $1.46

4th 20 race cycle.
Win 65% @ $10.93
ROI = $1.77

5th 20 race cycle.
Win 50% @ $9.31
ROI = $1.16

Excellent, Froggy.

By keeping those painstaking records you're able to exercise self-discipline. That tedious process alone improves your control.

Your results are admirable. They should indeed inspire self-confidence.

Including the "ut ohs" reflects reality. In the real world we make mistakes. We press the wrong button on the SAM machine, call out the wrong race number to the teller, etc. By including those boo boos and still showing a profit you're only reinforcing your "can do" approach.

The best handicapper I know, who has been a winning professional for over 30 years, told me to eliminate all the blood from my veins and replace it with ice water. "Don't get too high when you win. Don't get to low when you lose. Keep an even keel."

Froggy, based on what I've seen here and in the other thread, I'd say you've developed and progressed to the point where you can realistically achieve your dream of handicapping horses as a successful retirement income.

Congratulations!

Keep an even keel.

Beautiful Froggy - nice work. Continued success.

On printing from DOS, what did you do? Software or did you find an old printer that has that capability?

Thanks. Lou.

Great job Froggy... With that kind of hit pct I would go back and see how many times you hit 3 in a row Top 2. I would think 20-30 %. If so you have a great opportunity to play small rolling pick 3's at 8 bucks a pop 1.00 @ 2x2x2. This can be a low investment/profitable strategy and you will hit a few signers over the course of a year...

jms,

I have put in a lot of thought about your suggestion.
I have come to the conclusion that since at present I'm getting a 50% return daily on my investment capital why change a good thing.
What I'm doing now is in my comfort zone

I want to thank everybody for the kind words and pats on the back.

However I have done nothing more than to pick up the tools that are laying around here on this site and put them to use.
