Export Files

The export Excel files from RDSS2 included a header defining column contents. Since Sept I have been exporting from RDSS2.1. They have no column names so I cannot identify the new columns of info added in RDSS2.1. See below. I assume some would be the RX factors but I can't tell.

I am using Excel from 2008. That could be the problem.

Any help appreciated.

Hi, Pook.

You may have your answers already but if not, I think I can supply some information.

DX - Days Off
DY - Comp SR #
DZ - PL #
EA - CR+ #
EB - Rx1 #
EC - ?
ED - ?
EE - ?
EF - ?
EG - M/L Odds rank

Does that help?

Mick,

If Rx3 is not one of these columns where are you guys tracking it from? Manually?

Pook,

Yes, I've added three columns and I have to enter the values manually. Column EG is "ML Odds Rank" in the Master Template 3 (although I don't think the column has a header name).

I've also added columns for:
"Rx2 Rank"
"Rx3 Rank"
"Post Time Odds Rank"

I jog them down on scratch paper as I watch the races, then enter them when I add each race to the spreadsheet. That way I don't have run RDSS again to get the Rx values and dig out PTO # from the Charts later.

Pook,

In addition to columns for Rx2#, Rx3#, and PTO#, I would add a 4th column for Field Size. I may backtrack and do it anyway. It will mean looking at a lot of charts but I think it's good information to have. Of course, I only have a few hundred races. You have thousands! Jeez.
