RDSS New Users

Please if I may offer one piece of advice to the new users signed on in the last few weeks looking at the RDSS demo package:

USE the FREE demo database that you get. That is what it is there for. Put your "hands on" the thing without laying out cash of any kind including BETTING.

Then I.M.H.O you will realize if it is something in YOUR individual "comfort zone".

If it is you make a move.
If it is not you bail and your wallet didn't get tapped.

USE the free demo database.

Best of luck/skill

Hi RichieP

Question:

The demo I believe I have down loaded following the prompts.

Would you have to register a credit card to activate the software for the free demo

I know this should be posted rdss but I had just read your post

Hi Lawrence,

I can answer that - you only need to sign up with TrackMaster (and give a credit card or deposit funds) when you want to buy data from them. You can use RDSS with the demo data not only for 30 days, but as long as you want.

As Richie points out - use those hundreds of races and the video and other tutorials to prove to yourself that you can do sessions or cycles of 20 races and find wager opportunities resulting in a positive ROI. In the absence of Result Charts for those races in the demo database (from February 2009), use the Morning Line Odds as a (admittedly inferior) substitute for post-time odds.

Don't forget, you can get the Mutuel Results from The Racing Channel, via the link on the RDSS Desktop.

Hi Ted

Got it.

Will be doing some home work and I am sure I will have some questions.

Questions will be posted in the rdss forum so I can keep updated as to my progress

Thank-You for the reply

Lawrence
