Rdss2
Ted, I have a few questions on RDSS2:
Track Pace Bias: how often is this information updated in RDSS2, or is that considered at all? Example: Saratoga week 1 E-types winning most sprint, than week 2 P-types have been winning most of the races or is that adjustment made using DTV or ITV? I spend a lot of time generating decision Models for W/P, would it be possible to have the next generation RDSS supply these reports? (distance, surface,RC,odds). Sounds like it may be easier said than done. thanks, Mike |

Mike,
Track Pace Bias - is not provided or adjusted by data received from Trackmaster, so not calculated by RDSS. The user must track this data in Track Profiles of winners' performances, and also in wagering decision models, then use it to choose contenders to bet who are advantaged in a matchup (or at least not disadvantaged) by the perceived pace bias (and consider that sometimes the perceived 'bias' is simply a function of the matchup). The next version of RDSS will extend the output of more data to Excel managed models, including finish positions and mutuels. Several more Excel templates are in the works which incorporate Pivot Tables for more efficient reporting, and from which you can modify and develop your own. Also, Result Charts will be fully incorporated in real-time for maintenance of Track Profiles. Bringing various Excel-like sorting and filtering tools within RDSS for studying wager and handicapping decision models (similar to the sort/filter tools currently in the MyRaces module) - will likely be 2 updates away. In my current experience, although I would love to have everything completely within RDSS, an export dump to an Excel file then import into a master Excel data Tab followed by slicing and dicing that info in infinite ways (after you've got the layouts and formulas) - is a fairly straight forward process. My current goal for that stuff (and much) more is now Q4 this year. Hang in there! Ted

Looking forward
Hi Ted
I'm looking forward to your plans It will take most of the hand entry work I now do and simplify it. Just to make your head spin How will RDSS2 handle this ? In race 1 Both the winner and place horse got DQ'ed My profile and model is done by hand so I just leave the win price blank I enter all my readouts of the winning horse as # 5 Sportacular since it did cross the line first . and Haunting crossed second Will RDSS2 rate its readouts on #2 Woody's Show ? |
