Sunday Woodbine Gr2 Turf Route - 108TM Race Class
Here is Sunday's Grade 2 Canadian Stakes going 9f on their beautiful turf course. It is the 5th race on the card.
** I am only going to post races where ALL the horses have numerous North American pacelines to evaluate so any races with "Euro" shippers will be omitted**

In my humble opinion:
The (#6) and (#13) seems to fit the race set-up. They should be tough to beat if they don't scratch. The pace pressure gauge is a 23X1 indicating a late close which is characteristic for turf with moderate pace pressure off of an honest and possibly fast pace. |

#13, Zagora: HUGE run last out --- gallops if she reproduces it
#6, Bay to Bay: against the grain run last out, has run will over the course, and figures to get a nice setup #11, Miss Keller: FINALLY appears to be rounding into shape -- no shot in race that didn't come back last out --- could get 20:1 on her today |

I took the last line of the 7 as the pace of race. he ran on this course last time in about 46 - 109.3 - 134.4. He appears as lone speed, but best finishing time is slow compared to these.
Five tandem horses 4,5,6,9,11 I looked at any horse that had a good race against the 109.3 or 134.4 and came up with the 3,4,6,9 and 12 aside from the pacesetter. 3-sp vs this pace, line 4 and not strong last race at allowance level 4-p, line 3 ran from 3rd, beat 3 in line 9 tandem 6-ep vs slower but p today, line 2, ran from 5, also line 9 ran from 5th 9-p, line 2, had lead at mile call at projected pace today 12-s, line 3, from 4th Once the 7 folds the nearest appears to be the 9 and 6. Looks like the 4 is a little too far back. 9 and 6 to win and I will look at odds of 3. Last race won by 8.5 and finished strongly against todays pace in a 9f grade 2 last year in the only time he faced this pace. good luck to all of you Bill |

WO Race #5
I chose the 7 horse line 6 back for the pace 47.5 1:10.8 but I think the race will be closer to the tandem of the 4,6, and 9 which is 48.4 1:11.3. With the 7 as an E, the 8 as an EP, and the 3,4,5,9, and 10 as P's, I think the race will run sustained.
The 2 and the 13 are the horses that I think can really fly at the end. The 2 won one of the few races where he got a firm track 2 back and is in a tandem with the 13 from KEE 5 back where he was ahead of the 13. I'll take the 2 but am afraid of the 13. Tim |
