I said it earlier and I'll say it again this year's crop of three-year-olds is crap. I had the first four finishes in this race the only problem was I kind of like dozed off after the 10th race and when I woke up there was like 2 minutes to post and by the time I got to the computer all I had time for was to bet the Exacta. West Coast racing makes for a very long day for me. I cast my vote for Bodexpress for best 3yo. He finally broke his maiden after a long 3yo campaign. Give him the damn award! He beat Code of Honor in the Florida Derby, ran his lungs out in the Preakness after tossing the jockey and if he shows up in the Cigar Mile I say go ahead and give him the cigar( lots of laughter). At least I had a good day today. Had the 12 in 5th race, the 3 in the 6th, the 1 in the 7th, the 11 in the 9th, the 11 in the 10th and hit the 11 in the12th. Booyah!

Owners and trainers chase the big purses. E.g. Game winner is a great horse but wasn't up to the 8F after a big victory at shorter, RUSHED! COH deserved a break as his trainer stated but with 6 Million for prize $$$ give him a shot, pushed into the race and chasing the big bucks. Max Sec. robbed in Derby and smartly taken off the trail, had a set back but now back to good form. I believe we haven't seen the best of the 3 yr. old's yet and they'll improve as 4 year old's with good handling, just like Vino Rosso has who also was rushed as a 3 yr. old to make the TC.


Bodexpress for 3 yr. of HOY? That'll never happen!! Races only count with Jockey's on at the finish otherwise they all would fall off at the gate. ha ha ha
