two tough loses

Hi 5chalky5

Those are two tough loses Aqu 8 and BHP 7

both races you had the winner ranked 2nd

The 7 at BHP went wire to wire

The 11 in race 8 at aqu is a close call

Your top 3 BLBL were 3 11 9 8

it came in 11 9 3 8
making the right decision is hard at times
I can see a few things Doc would point out
The 3 is an E or EP runner
check the segments screen and note the 3's position at the F1 and F2

The 11 has 3 turf wins you used a + turf paceline It has 5 plus turf races
The 9 has no turf wins and you used a (+) line 3 back No turf plus races

Both the 9 and 11 are 1-2 on LP and they are 2-3 on HE and 1-2 on CP
all good factors for turf races

Some questions you could ask in regards to the 3
Are there any other early horses in the race ? yes horse 4 there also are some sprinters.
Will they force the 3 to use too much energy early?
In turf races sometimes you have dirt horses who
are trying the turf for the first time. They may run too fast too early
and try to steal the race.
They usually don't but they still influence the early pressure of the race

Anyway your line selection was good
I would have just used line 2 for horse 8

3- line 1 EP +
11- line 1 Sus +
9 - line 3 Sus (+)
8- line 3 Sus + line 2 is a +
6- line 2 sus (+) a non contender

it turns out

It turns out the 4 was scratched

but the 8 ran with the 3 early the 11 and 9 came home late

Look at the segments screen it had the race just about right
in F1 and F2
The 3 and 8 are 1-2 in F1
The 8 looks like it fades in F2
but look at the 0.0 next horse at the SC its 3 and 8
Throw out the 6 its a non contender
The 3 wins the 3rd fraction+ TS

but in reality the proven turf winner # 11 prevails

Bill -

Thanks for taking the time to go over the race. I can see what you are saying and it helps. I can take away the fact that I am getting winners in my top 3 tiers and with help like this I will make better decisions in the future. I was not very happy when the 11 beat me at 8.80-1.

I was looking into purchasing a results chart subscription and hopefully you can help me with this.

I am assuming that you can download the chart information into an Excel spreadsheet and you will be able to create track profiles from the results charts.

If you do this, do you have an example I could see?

Kyle
