Wild E/L graph sticks
3 year old fillies.
Look at the E/L sticks for this race today at Tampa. 4 of them 16 or higher. All horses happen to have BLF less than 7.5 too! Wild sticks. Interesting race

70 Med
Hi Rich
Looking at your readouts I would agree with what the bottom line betting line is showing. With so much early wild sticks the too lowest balance horses are the top 2 BLBL and VDC horses. This is telling me that they have good early and late readouts on EEP and LEP Early and Late ENERGY Potenial The 4 is a top 3 class race (Yellow Box) horse I will look at the race but looking at all those wild early fingers, remember thumbs, foots and pinkys! I bet they also have over 70 Med energy GS Bill |

Hey Bill!
Didn't Doc write in some of the followups about 3 yr filles expending their energy early? Not sure but something is hitting me saying he did. Maybe that explains these big sticks? here are the med energy reads

sure did
Yes Rich
I'm sure the follow up your referring to will come to me - probably some morning when I'm away from the computer Getting back to something from your post from yesterday about the +100 race class This race is full of wild earlys and its a VERY low 65 race class You would think a strong closer would win with all this fast early pressure but with a 65 RC is there a stong closer? Or are the late runners just horses that follow horses that follow other horses I think theres a joke like that. |

thumbs, foots and pinkys
Hey Bill,
Would you explain the "thumbs, foots and pinkys" on the sticks? I know that you have in the past and that you use it in your capping but I can't find it and can't remember how you applied it. Richie, I'm glad you're offically hooked up with Ted on support. That will be a good marriage I think. Take care of the back dude. Both you take care, Budman |

Palm
Sure thing bud
Welcome to Binderland and also from Lost and Found I used to use my fingers as a guide to remember how each horse used its energy on the Early late graph It went like this. I always work with 5 horses so I used my five fingers to name the horse I was looking at I would hold my right hand in front of me, with my palm up facing me. Doing this my thumb was towards my right and my pinky was towards the left I would name the horse with the biggest early stick the thumb the next biggest early horse would be the index finder the horse closes to the center was the middle finger the horse next late was the ring finger and the latest horse was the pinky. I would make betting decisions based on the early late graph and blbl and for fun and focus instead of the program number I would say I'm betting the thumb and the ring fingers or the pinky and the index Richie who always made me laugh started calling horses foots so we changed the wild early horses to foots. The e/l CAN be the major factor to consider at many a speed favoring oval OR, on days when, by monitoring it race to race, A DEFINITE BIAS shows up.I can't begin to tell you what an advantage it is to know, IN ADVANCE, how the track will run all day long
STYLE over SUBSTANCE is the essence of this idea that I first discovered at BOTH inner Aqueduct and Fort Erie (opens next weekend thankfully). Many horses, once the e/l range of a particular track and distance is established, can be evaluated mainly on how their energy style compares to what wins at their track on THIS day. A second level to the e/l is RELATIVITY. Since I started following the methodology, SPEED beats stamina all the time and the relative positions of the e/l will tell you which ones have speed and which have stamina (closing ability against this pace today). E/L relativity on the dirt is there all the time once the extremes of the e/l (mostly all on the negative side) are dismissed. The Derby will show this I predict, yet again. All of this coming from a West coaster, who did not discover, nor BELIEVE in track bias, until I abandoned the West coast ovals. Since they all turned SYNTHETIC, that has been a good thing.
