"Monkey" takes down 180 day layoff horse
The "Monkey" remains in a zone and his sharp eye threw some darts in the 5th today at PRX.Winner $25.80 and EX $148.20 for $3. Winner was laid off for 180 days. Who says these 90 day plus horses can't win? Well many can't but than again "The Monkey" doesn't play them all. I specifically went into this card looking for over 90 day horses and found this beauty. Also playing a few other angles.
Odds do not scare the "Monkey" as I played 3 horses so far over 50-1 in this race I also played the #1 horse who went off at 80-1. To reap the rewards you have to make the bet. Even my BF Tim said he could never play this one.

Great job Mitch. I hear he Secret Service is assigning a detail to protect monkey after it received threats for being a non conformist.

MAO Tim, ha ha He does have some close friends named Smith & Wesson. The little guy definitely is a non-conformist. Sometimes one has to take a contrarian approach.

A summary:
I missed a $ 12.80 winner in the 3rd talking to my Bud, the conversation was worth it though. In the 9th my # 5 was full of energy and ran up the heels of a horse and was taken up sharply, kiss of death in a 5 F race. In the 10th my # 9 took a bad step thus throwing the jockey. The 5th race made my day with a profit of $180.30 All my bets:

Great day Mitch! This is the way it works. Most of the time we grind it back and forth while we wait for the multi-bagger events. And they depend on individual insights. In your case...monkey insights.

Thanks Mike. Your correct and to get those multi-bagger events requires consistency of approach and money management. Insights come from a detailed analysis which the majority fail to perform.
I passed the 6th race because it was too contentious with too many legit contenders. The public was confused and at post time 4 or 5 hoses were all 2-1, tough one plus no odds. So I passed. Many years back there were fewer tracks, races and the public was more into a detailed study of form and the PP's.Today's world is into an instant gratification approach. Sartin use to refer to it as Jazz, and he said; "If you have to ask what it is than you can't play it." Another said something like, it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert in something. Most players put in that time however by playing, not by analysis of the game. Mitch44 |
