Learn RDSS Functionality

ted; where is the best place to go and learn functionality of RDSS2, such as how do you retrieve a horse's pace lines if you accidentally delete it, or keep a non contender on the screen after the designation is made?

Hi Dan, general Help & Reference for RDSS2 can be found via the Help button on the RDSS Desktop (i.e. in the software) which opens up the Help Window. Then try the Help & Reference button which leads you to --> www.rdss2.com/help-reference at Paceandcap.com. There you'll find all the PDF Release Notes for RDSS2, and links to description of Factors. The Release Notes have many of the navigation-related tips. You could also try the FAQs (www.rdss2.com/faq ). I think you already know about the Google Site Search tool (http://www.rdss2.com/google-sitesearch).

Re your 2 specific questions:

1. If you delete a horse's paceline(s) from the Analysis screens, simply go that horse by clicking on it's Tab number along the upper edge or going to the Entries Screen and clicking on the horse, then re-select the paceline or lines you like.

2. If you have selected a paceline but wish to designate the horse as being in the Non-Contender group (e.g. so you can see its tote odds, or otherwise don't forget about it), simply go again to the horse's Tab and in the horse header area you will see 2 checkboxes for Contender Status (captioned Win and ITM - In-the-Money). Remove the check from either of these boxes (click to remove an existing check) to designate it as neither a Win (Primary) or ITM (Secondary) Contender = Non-Contender. Make sure there is a paceline selected so it will still show up in the Analysis screens. Alternately, you can work with these same 2 Contender Status checkboxes on the Entries screen.

Hope that helps!

Ted

P.S. Asking questions (like this ) is also a good way to learn things!
