Black Eyed Susan

Hello my Pace and Cap friends

As some of you may know, The Black Eyed Susan is one of my favorite races.
As a youngster, Many years before I met Richie P at the Meadowlands
and started with the methodology, I made a $2 show bet on a horse names Salt. It won, I collected like $85 when a 1-5 favorite ran out of the money.
I felt like a millionaire and was hooked on the sport

Here is today's race

Here are my 2 cents:

My main win contenders are 7,4,8, with a possible longshot in the 5.

Looks to me like the 4 and 9 are need the lead types, with lots of early pace pressure, but the 7 is likely to actually get the lead in the first fraction, and then struggle a bit in the second fraction if pressed too hard by the 4. The 9 probably won't get the lead. The question with the 7 is whether she can hold on in the third fraction without spitting the bit.

If the 4 can run her race without getting the lead, she has a very even running style throughout the race, and is the fastest horse based on final time speed.

If the 4,7, and 9 go out too early, it sets the race up for the 8 to close.

5 is an interesting longshot: she should be up close early, make a middle move, and try to hold on.

2 has the best third fraction and will be flying in the stretch, might want to use underneath if playing exotics.

My fair win odds line: 7 @ 2-1
4 @ 5/2
8 @ 7/2
5 @ 12-1

Good luck.

Richard

We all did it

Way to go Mitch and Richard and myself

We all had the !!

I am alive in the pick 4 and the Susan/Preakness double.
The 4 and 7 ran really well on the lead. The 4 would have been nice
because of some side bets. Happily, the right in your face on RDSS #8 was a nice winner.

I thought tis race had a few UNKNOWNS in it so I bet it light. The First Lady was on me and waiting to go to dinner so I had to rush my bets putting them in.

I thought I bet the 6 & 8 and when I checked it on my return I only bet the 8. After 3 bad DQ's lately it was a present surprise. #8 was my first pick and a good payoff considering.

Alive for the DD. Good luck with your P4 and DD.
