Polambi...

I have no qualms about choosing the 3rd paceline back for #10 Central Heat but I was wondering your decision process for choosing that paceline versus the last paceline or the 2nd paceline back.....Thanks in advance....

I am usually looking for either the fastest pace of race fractions in the race or the best last fraction among all the contenders......

Thanks Rmath and Bill V. I was able to close the weekend on a very positive note, because I also won race 9th at Golden Gate.
The winner was a real standout, and had a nice recent workout. So I put $50 to win on it. This is one of the rare cases where I only bet one horse to win.

Lone Speed....... I always use the automated paceline selection feature of RDSS2. My choice is "best perceptor, Last 3 comparable". I only review the selections at this point, and look for "corollaries", like Doc prescribed, and recent activities, including workouts.
Have a nice day!

How is RDSS doing ? :)

Gulfstream from yesterday, #8. Turf race. I always include DCL 1 and LPR 1, as sustained / late energy in a turf route is important.
Dutch was 9/5. Projected payoff about 1.30.

Gulfstream today. #1 Turf races always favor late energy, (IMO).
Dutch was 5-2, with insurance on 1 not too profitable, thus did exacta. Would probably have dropped #1 out of contenders, but with 1st look at all the horses, with all ranked, it was #2 LPR so had to look very carefully.

How is RDSS doing ???

Just as well as any Sartin Program if you use the vast array of distance and
surfaces as you have

nice win on the exacta
I would like to correct you on one point in both this race and the earlier post you made with your late on the turf proclamation

The title of this thread is how is RDSS doing ?

But in reality RDSS did not do anything that Sartin programs have been
doing for all these years

What YOU did was enter a very odd assortment of pace lines
You are working a 5 furlong turf sprint and you have 2 dirt sprints,
2 Turf routes at two different distance and 1 poly sprint
Anybody who has read even 1 follow up should know that turf routes
almost always favor late energy The famous ex jockey turned mystery
writer Dick Francis says that all turf races are really just 4 furlong races
its just that in turf routes the horses gallop about a mile to the starting line
Turf and dirt races are run differently, Horses don't have the traction
to get off to such fast starts as they do on the dirt
In North America to win on the dirt means you better be among the leaders
at the first and and second fractions especially for those two sprinters
you entered, Its only natural that they would not have as good a late pace
number as the two turf route horses

So now lets answer the question How is RDSS2 doing
My answer to your race today and at GP before
Nothing that All Sartin Programs have not done for years

Here are your same pacelines in 2 Sartin Methodology staple programs
Energy and Thoromation

Both program clearly point to the winner #1
with the top 2 LPR

This is not knock on RDSS it to show that the programs are only going to show you what you entered as pace lines
