Scott: I agree the two brothers are top jocks and have nothing against them but that was a very poor ride down the stretch. I actually pay no attention to jockeys until after the race. It doesn't make any difference who crosses the finish line first until the race is declared official. He won't be credited with the win, rightly so, and he did not get the first place money.

Conley: I agree with you on Max. Security. Regardless we have to move on, I just wish there were some consistency in these objections. BTW Max. Sec. still has a chance to vindicate himself on the track the rest of this year and as a 4 yr. old.

I don’t post often... but if you use the same pacelines in Thoromation 2A the top two selections are Rosso & COH. I didn’t consider Olympic Village a contender.

Why is anyone playing a race with these odds ?

It is the job of the trainer to make sure a race horse is ready to race and accustomed to the conditions it will face in a race. Whether something happens that is "intentional" or not is not what the rules regulate. The horse has to be ready to race in the environment it is entered, and the jockey's job is to control the horse. Intention has nothing to do with anything. How many times have we seen horses who do unexpected things when they hear the crowd roar or encounter something they are not used to ? They get DQ'd. Their training was inadequate.

That's a very good point Dorianmode.

And Code of Honor being the less experienced of the two, younger and a much smaller horse says a lot for him going forward. He showed real grit for the situation and great future potential going forward.

He has been handled very well and consistently is improving as a 3 year old. Barring injury the sky seems to be the limit with this one. Might be something to these 3 year old's yet.

I also agree about the low odds...but this race is included in the serial bets like pick 3’s, pick 4’s, etc. For win wagering this would be a pass for me.

Great point the pick 5 paid around $ 330 for a spread with midnight bijou
Yes low odds but competitive races make it a good play , As long as you can beat at least two favs you will get a worth while profit

Vino Rosso won @ 7-2 before he got robbed. Not a bad price for a small field.
