RDSS Server Problem Fixed

As of this moment (2:35pm EST) the server at ArtofPace.com which tracks RDSS usage is down (since a few hours ), and thus you cannot download new files from TrackMaster. The problem is NOT at TrackMaster, but with the HOST of my own ArtofPace.com (SartinMethodology.com) servers.

They are working on fixing problems at a number of their servers and they say mine should be back up within an hour or so. Apologies for this: they are usually up 99.99 percent of the time.

I'll post back here when this is fixed.

Ted

Apologies, but the RDSS host server is down again as of right now. TrackMaster server is NOT the problem. The effect of this is that the Download Task will appear to take a long time (about 60 seconds, waiting for the RDSS server) but will eventually give up and complete the actual download from TrackMaster. If you can stand this, best to just wait for it to happen (get a coffee, walk the dog, count yesterday's winnings ).

A workaround (bit of a pain) is to download RDSS cards manually by your browser (use the TrackMaster link on the Data Centre), place those downloaded card files where RDSS can find them (e.g. DEL for 9/16 file is del20080916rdss.zip and goes in this folder: c:\Rdss\Data\PP\2008\DEL\). Then uncheck the Download Task (i.e. since it's already downloaded) and do the Convert Task.

I'll keep an eye on this and report back as soon as I know more.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Ted

Hey folks, looks like everything is back in business. My hosting company had a MAJOR outage on about 2 dozen of their servers that took nearly 24 hours to finally resolve. But it seems like all is well now.

I guess 99.99% uptime means when it's up its almost completely up, and when it's down it's 100% down...

Very sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused RDSS users.
