Mitch44 and Jeff,thanks.
Hi Lefty,I have a Win 7 Pro PC that has an XP Mode Virtual Machine, wherein i can run the old DOS programs of Doc Sartin.I also bought an old XP computer that i use in my basement in case my wife is using the main desktop in our room.I just use a flash drive to download the Trackmaster data files and can use it on both machines.Val4 and Spec160 will not run smoothly on Dosbox.Ask me how i know.So my suggestion is get a Windows 7 Pro OS or an old xp machine/laptop.
Jim G,how have you been? It's been awhile since we wrote to one another.I hope things are well with you.You can always pm me,my friend.

Additional Comments...

Being retired and betting $20 win bets with no pressure on me,i made $4950 last year. There were a lot of lost bets that were so frustrating. That's why i hit the heavy bag in my garage. It's a stress reliever. There were so many ups and downs along the way.
It answered my question on what it will take to play professionally and why it's a difficult road to take.It will take $200 win bets to make around $50,000 a year. Can you imagine the pressure of winning a bet because the power bill and the mortgage is due in a few days,or you have to take your daughter to get braces for her teeth or the water heater is leaking and need to be replace...
Playing regularly at the sportsbooks and racebooks here in Las Vegas,i met a lot of characters.I know a few who are professional horse players, sports bettors and poker players. Most are quiet and never brag about their scores or show anger when they catch a bad beat. There are the loudmouths who talk the talk, but always ask the sportsbook manager for a meal comp...and there are 'fleas' who just hang around the racebook to look over your shoulder and ask,'who do you like?'...I can write a book on my daily experience here. The other day,i was in line at the betting window and the guy infront of me made a $10,000 show bet on a horse at Gulfstream. The clerk just printed the ticket without batting an eyelash....Such is life in Las Vegas.
