Would you put this horse in?

I would like to get an opinion on this[not one showing RDSS screens or what were the odds,or an answer there are no biasis because in my opinion they are].Using the 2nd line from this horse would you still enter him into your computer program?He figures not to get this same easy trip today and the track is favoring off the pace types.Thanks Shoeless

I'd sure put him in (2nd line) because he will influence the pace.

Morning Robert,
If I was using software and selecting pacelines I would use the horse.My thread on "software matchers" describes my exact process in using software and this sucker would most surely be included (win or lose). There aren't gonna be horses runnning 43 paces where he would be excluded.

i would not.
the horse was claimed from a 38% to a 14% win trainer. the new trainer got a lemon. He drop the horse from an alw62k to a c25k. trainer paid 32k and he 's trying to sell the horse at loss. 2 race back the horse run a 91 speed rating, is best ever. what make you think that he's capable of the same after the last race?
he's an E horse and did fail last race. You put 2 race back pace line in the puter and you lose. that's simple.

Rich, thanks for your response and I will surely review your "software matchers" thread. Generally speaking then as to entering contenders into the program it differs from the pencil and paper Match Up process where you would throw out all of the earlies in a race that has been determined to run OTE.

This is an excellent thread started by Shoe.

Hopefully there will be ample feedback where one can evaluate/consider EVERYONE'S feedback.

Pino makes extremely valid points regarding class eval etc.

If THIS race hasn't run yet I will be glad to work it using my outline previously posted up.

I would use the last line. The first thing i do in picking a pace line is i look at the horses last race and ask myself do i have a reason to go to the next line? In this case i do not and the reason is like one of the other posters said this horse was in for 62k now 25k? His last race he backed up like a pluged sink. If he beats me he beats me. Tom Brohamer told me once he will bet against this type horse all the time.

Q public just look at #'s, the big is the # the better they think is the horse. How wrong.
