Although I never met him, I was told by Galen and Tim G. that he was one of the best people around. You would have to know how generous he was by sharing with all of us his great knowledge and especially of his exhausting research.
I am so sorry I didn't contact him but I pray for him and his family.

Horrible news. I met him for the first time in 2019 at the annual gathering in Saratoga. Such a nice man. My own handicapping has improved because of his work. RIP.

My condolences to all of those mourning the passing of rmath. Reminds us all of how fragile life is, and to live every day to the fullest.

What a good human being! Dick Mathie was always generous with his time and his knowledge and he shared a lot of both with me. For those who didn't know him, he was a seriously good horse player too. Just one example is that he built his house with trifecta winnings from Mountaineer. I'm really at a loss for words. The world seems a little emptier this morning.

I meet Ritchie 2019 and what a gentlemen. He was more than happy to pass on his knowledge. You could really see what a passion he had for this game we play.

My prayers go out to Theta (get well soon) and the family!

This is a sad day for Pace and Cap community.
