First 4 Days SAR 2021
Some interesting stats from the first 4 days at SAR 2021: (admittedly a tiny sample size)
If you bet every horse in every race, you made 332 bets in 41 races, and lost 47% of your bankroll earning an ROI of 0.53. Why?: the takeout churn coupled with very few longshots winning coupled with rebate syndicates pounding the winning favorites If you bet the top A/P (average pace) horse as defined by Brohammer, you won 14 out of 41 races (34%) and earned 40% on your bankroll for an ROI of 1.40...Easy game, huh? If you bet all of the tote favorites (and ties) you won 17 out of 44 races (39%) and lost 6% for an ROI of 0.94 If you bet all of the Morning Line favorites you won 15 out of 41 races (37%) and earned 4% on your bankroll for an ROI of 1.04 Bottom line, for the first 4 days of the meet, SAR was NOT the graveyard of favorites...on the contrary, it was a chalk eaters delight. Now we just need to decide if this will continue, of whether there will be a regression to the mean... Richard |
