Pace N Cap Library

Well. folks, it takes time and more time but I'm working on the last set of tapes from member Tom M.'s collection. There is some great stuff that Tom sent including a couple of seminars where Quinn participated and gives good insight into contenders that meet the conditions.

After this Beaumont Workshop I'm digitizing now, I'll have 2 single tapes plus the '84 Handicapping Expo audio cassettes to go.

I will also have the Brohamer Lecture Series that went for all that money on Ebay already digitized as an excellent contribution from member Supertech.

After that, I will begin the uploading process and I will tell you that the new library will be outstanding as a learning tool into the Methodology and as a foundation for RDSS users once it is ready to go! I'm hoping to be done digitizing by Labor Day.

Happy Monday.

Lou

I can't thank you and to all who donated material to the new library
I am so proud of what we are doing

The contents are the tools we use and must understand
as users of the Modern Sartin Methodology

I know you're anxious, Jon, it's just taken a lot of time to digitize. You have to remember each tape side is 30 to 45 mins. of audio and then gaps, noise, blips have to be edited to some extent and typically I've got to run it through through hiss reduction which can take 10-15 mins. per side, depending on the audio. The wav file then has to be compressed to mp3. The scanning also took quite a bit of time, even on a corporate type scanner. With the old pages and old dug in staples, etc, many manuals needed multiple runs through the scanner.

Believe it or not, everything for now is on the hard drive. I believe that Bill with Ted's help has settled on a location for the library and I will start to upload as time permits. Bill will then give the go ahead as to when the library forum itself will be made available.

I will be receiving about 6 more sets of tapes from member Tom M., who really deserves the credit for volunteering his vast collection of tapes and manuals.

Check your pm later on today.

Lou,

Wow, I didn't realize how much trouble you're having to go through! I'll just shut-up and wait patiently.

Thanks again, especially now knowing what I know, for your efforts; also to Tom M. for his generosity!

Best regards,

Jon

"Where do we find the library of mauals and recordings?"

Bob,

They're located in the Club Pace and Cap' section. It's a private area for Members Only; see FAQ for details.

Regards,

Jon
