Day 15 DMR Race 8 The La Jolla Handicap Grade 3
Today we are back on the turf
Today's race is the La Jolla Handicap grade 3 for 3-year-olds The distance is 8.5 furlongs This one looks tricky, This race is restricted to 3-year-olds. Plus a few runners are lightly raced on the turf. Horse 6 is scratched |

Another Handicap race. FTL's advice of limiting oneself to the three high weights and ties in a Handicap is sound advice. Last nights feature race winner the 7, fit that profile. Happens more often than not.
In this race that only excludes 1,3 and 5. The 6 is scratched. Leaves 2,4,7,8,9. The 2 has no grass experience, so out. The 8 and 9 have both been trounced by the 7 twice. Leaves 4,7. 7,4 @ 60/40 Pook |

Another great day at Del Mar...
I narrowed this race to the three outside horses: the 7,8, and 9. Only the sprinter wants anything with the early fractions in this matchup. But I see the #9 as the only entry who has faced faster early fractions other than the #7. I like the shift in weights in favor of the #9 horse over the #7. I believe the #9 only ran to the mile marker than it somehow found trouble and steadied in its last race. Today I see the #9 controlling the entire race from gate to wire. Good skills |

Pook and Lone Speed
I am with you with the top weights
2 4 7 8 9 I know I am off the 2 for the win Hopefully Prat takes a lot of money I might hook him up to the longest odds of the weight bunch I have win bets on the 7, I'm still mulling over my second bet No doubles. race 7 and 9 are maidens and i can't narrow it down enough |
