Exclamation RDSS 2.1.048-a crashing on KY Derby

It looks like RDSS 2.1.048 (latest) is crashing when attempting to display CD Race 12 the Kentucky Derby

This is because of oddly formed tote data for that race only (rest of races today gave been OK).

You CAN still work this race in RDSS 2.1.048 but you must turn off your internet connection.

This was the same case as Race 2 at Churchill yesterday, but the remainder of the races were OK.

I will attempt to catch a few ticks of the tote feed to see what caused that, for the future ...

I just got my bets down at XpressBet. Though, RDSS draws tote from TwinSpires, so maybe they're having a generalized problem ...

And RDSS is back up and connected to the tote for Race 13.

Too bad about that 1 race outage

A fine race for Justify and Good Magic.

Ted
This was indeed a Twinspires issue - they were getting lit up on twitter for this outage on their end.

It wasn't a complete outage, because I captured several MTP data points of the tote flow for later analysis. The MTP flow WAS quite delayed though, compared to other ADWs.

I'll be able to analyse the data flow and add code to ensure any mal-formed data does not bring down the whole show. Also, let users simply turn off the internet connection for RDSS.
