Saturday at TDN

Here are two races from TDN, a track where I've found some nice spot plays over the years...

TDN #3:

I used the tandem from Aug 8th for 2 and 4 as the pace line. The 2 and 4 went 22.0 on that day. Initially I was looking OTE here with the 2,3, and 4 being early. That put me on the 9 and 10. But the 9 and 10 have never shown they can handle that kind of pace. So, I went back and took another look at the 2. The 2 has run OTE against a 22.0 at 5.5 furlongs. Also, in the second to the last line, the 2 showed an OTE race against a slower pace.

I think the 3 and 4 will get the lead and the 2 will sit just off the pace and win the race.

The 2 is my choice.

TDN #6:

Good races Pete from a track we don't look at very often.

The 4 is the speed here. The 3rd back at 5.5f is the pace; 22.4 46.4 59.2. The 11 might also be near the pace. I don't think it will be won early. The ones that look like they can stay close are the 6 and 10.

The 10's last race was much faster than the only other good race he ran. The 6 showed in the bottom 2 races in the form that he can run closer against decent paces.

The 6 is my choice to win the race.

TDN R#3 and #6

Race #3:

I used 22.3 45 as the projected pace from the FPLR August 8th tandem race. The 2 and 4 fought through the first two calls in that one. The 2 then opened up a 2 length lead at the stretch before tiring at the finish. The 2 was still the tandem best finisher and I don’t see any OTE’s that can handle that pace. The 3 could put some more early pressure on coming in from PIID, but looking down at its two TDN lines I see they were slower than the tandem POR. I’ll take the 2.

Race #6:

I considered the 4 as Early and the 10 as EP. To me this race boils down to whether the 10 repeats its last race. If it does, then this race is over. It ran much faster than the 4 can handle early and should have a much softer time of it. No need fighting from 2C to SC against 46 and 58.4 today!! The 7 beat the 10 in the tandem last race, but with a different pace match-up today I will take the 10 to win.

Good luck everyone!

Good morning Tim! That's what this race boils down to in my mind (whether the 10 can repeat that race). If it doesn't then your 6 could mow them down in the stretch.
