Silly question

I am stumped , and need help please ???

How does one click to make contenders and non-contenders?

Wasn't there a way to separate the horses we wanted as contenders and the horses we thought had no chance.

Thank You

Patrick

Patrick

Here is a screen
shot this is from Rdss2.1 but it should work for your RDSS
Look up in the pp`s.
Do you see two little square boxes marked win and ITM ? Look up near the lifetime earnings information area.
I believe the defaul is checked win , Theses win checked boxes make the horse a win contender. If you check the IBM box this horse will become a secondary contender
If you click so both boxes are blank it becomes a non contender

Further to Bill's explanation, from my email to you (did you not receive?):
"In an Analysis panel, right-click the check box at left of a line. Or, in the horse header, with a paceline selected, click the ITM Contender box to make the horse Secondary or remove check from both Win and ITM boxes to make Non-Contender. Or – use the Contender boxes on the Entries screen to do the same thing."

Good luck Patrick!

Ted

trying to catch up ....

The most exposure I've had to the Sartin Methodology was reading
Brohamer's Modern Pace Handicapping in 1991.

I read Pace Makes the Race beforehand and Handicapping Magic sometime later in the '90s.

I keep going back to the Yellow Manual pages 48-62 today (manual pages; not pdf pages) and noticed formulas that differ some from what I remembered seeing years ago.

Just wondering if these are the modern day formulas? ..........

..... for example: sustained pace, factor w, average pace,

early pace, which seems different between routes and sprints now
(btw I believe makes more sense now).

Also, is Factor W still as respected today as in it's earlier years?

Thanks in advance for any input- Mike

In the interest of not wasting someone else's time, my questions were answered in another forum and thread (named: '"formulas") on this site;
in the previous few days.
