gate placement

I have been taping Philly's races revieiwng them using set landmarks to compare versus the gate placement (like the starter's shed).....Varies maybe a foot or two

stable landmarks

The lower pan camera, I assume from every track I have ever seen, is mounted on a stable platform so as to give the same view of each race. The infield stewards/starter's booth is in the foreground of each shot and provides a SECOND stable landmark. NOTICE where the point of that roof sits against the gate behind it: usually right on the P or Park on the top of the gate.......Gate placement doesn't vary much at all.

For the 6 furlong start
