The Monkey strikes again.
Played Tampa Bay today because I figures there be some nice prices. No way!
You have to take what they give you and stick to your game plan. I hit a pick 5 which is no easy feat regardless of what they pay. Also had the winner of the last race for 6 in a row. Additionally had some early winners but ex. were killing me. Went back to DD P-3 & the P-5 to make a nice profit on the day. COMPLETED: 147da-4e7fb TAM #7 $0.50 Pick-5 9, 10, WT, 2, WT, 5, 6, 9, WT, 3, 5, 6, WT, 5, 6 none $18.00 $263.50 + $245.50 The Monkey gets a banana split tonight. Your monkey is red hot. Nice shooting Mitch! Today has not been profitable for me. A missed opportunity here, a losing side of a photo there. To channel a legendary pro wrestler whose moniker was The Iron Sheik, this game has a way of breaking your back on some days and making you humble!

Nice job Mitch. It was like the old days capping together yesterday.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it.
Tim it was nice to bounce stuff off each other and compare picks. You did terrific also. Great day!! Jeebs we all have some bad days and if you let it live in your mind it'll effect your future handicapping, so the future is bright. I actually varied my approach somewhat and used RDSS & BRIS PP's. Did some experimenting on my scratch routine for final contenders after putting in all the horses. Not sure its that good on a consistent basis and tends to be time consuming. I was trying not to scratch a horse that wasn't in the top 4 who could make a nice ex. etc. and looking for a price. My assessment would be to stick to win,DD,P-3 etc. as winners are more easier to get than ex, and trifectas. I did hit a nice DD and ex. around $39 & $45. The exacta was an easy one because the top 3 towered over the field. It really pays to look at the payoffs and eliminate the low ones the public hammers. Lessens the extension (outlay) and increases the return. Mitch44 Last edited by Mitch44; 03-12-2017 at 10:28 AM. |

The # 9 wins this 1st leg to a successful P-5. Sorry when posting this I thought it was a single race. Anyway the keys were picking contenders and pace lines and final analysis of top rankings horses past performances for final decisions.
