Analysis screen, multiple views

The Analysis screen (main one) should display multiple views:

Bill,

It's nothing useful, merely the tab # of the horse in question (i.e. horse 2 is tab #5, etc). Will disappear after development.

Ted,

I think the panels look great. As for the Velocity and Energy Ratios the
%median shown adjacent to the energy ratios and decleration clearly shows
the relationship for the winner.. BEST DCL and LOWEST %MEDIAN.
This is another window into the Turf which for me has never been a strong
point.

As for the TX...In a previous correspondence I requested the inclusion
of the 4th level TX and I believe you mentioned that you were receptive
to include it. The following 4th level TX stats are my supporting reason.

For 270 races where the data for the 4th level TX at 2 MTP was taken
there were:

38 winners, 32 place and 27 shows for a total of 97 in the money horses
at the 4th TX level.
I was surprised that the winners dominated but I have the hard evidence.

Total% ITM for 4th level TX: 97/270 = 36%

Ernie,

That's a strong case for continuing to pay attention to Tx down to the 4th level, and as we discussed earlier, I will highlight that somehow. For the 4th level and the stats you cited, can you relate those 97/270 to mutuels and ROI?

Thanks,

Ted

Yes, but it will take a little time as it is a manual effort. I have much more
than 270 races but I thought that was enough to make a case. I also
got tired of compiling the data. I guess I should start a database as I also
have quite a lot of energy data that I am interested in.
Through query analysis there could be a lot of hidden relationships
that are simply too cumbersome to dig out manually.

Ernie, not to worry - if you come up with anything for yourself and wish to share it, I'm sure we'd all be grateful. In due course, there should be sufficient database analysis tools within RDSS to do that type of ad hoc analysis, or at least export data in bulk to an external database or spreadsheet program.

Yes, I intend to publish any info that I think will be of interest to the user
community. In fact I believe I previously mentioned that the exacta hit rate amounst
the top 4 TX horses is in the 65%- 70% range. This was taken for about a 200 race sample.
Of course with a larger sample (which I haven't compiled) the percentage will be more accurate.
Nevertheless my exacta hit rate (3 horse box) has improved since I integrated this with my RDSS contenders.

I also prefer to wait for the database tools and the availablity of TX data
in 2.0 rather than undertaking a laborious manual entry process.
