Negative drop?

The race goes off in 15 or so minutes. We'll soon see.

I could have posted the 6 "Are We Not Men" too. Claimed for $40k, off for several months and back in for $12.5k.

They were just talking about this horse on the NYRA feed. Really is a strange move. Claims the horse for more then he lost it for now a layoff of 65 days and a huge drop. The horse has worked 4 times since the claim. The Jacobson #6 is another strange move. Won for 20 went up to 40 were it showed speed to the 1/2 now drops to this level. Jacobson does this a lot and wins. El Paso this race.

Oh Dear Me

$37.5k dropped in cold blood for the 8's previous owner.

Negative class drop for sure. One of Tom's "poison" category.

I feel sorry for the previous owner. They must be stunned right now.

Tim, "El Paso" was a good place to be. Thought might get up but flattened out late. was never a factor.

Both horses were claimed out of this race by reputable trainers.

Cocked and Loaded was claimed by Clark O. Brewster; trainer, Steven M. Asmussen

Are We Not Men was claimed by Drawing Away Stable; trainer, John T. Toscano, Jr.

What's the buzz on Morning Buzz?

Stirring up some conversation on this slow Thursday. Race 4 at Belmont today shows what looks like a Fool's Gold horse in Morning Buzz. Horse was ultra competitive vs. $25k types this summer, Cannizzo claims the horse on 7/24, which was a win in the slop. Jumps the horse to $32k off the win and runs into some trouble. Today, Cannizzo drops the horse to $12.5k and stretches him out to a mile. Irad takes the call. This is your M/L favorite people. If the horse runs back to its 3rd/4th line back, it will be tough, but it appears that Cannizzo is ready to unload a poor claim, win or lose.
