7 Years Out From That Terrible Morning

Thanks For The Flag, Bill. I was living in San Diego at the time and had just started my own recruiting business and then I got the call from my mother very early in my morning asking to just turn on the tv........I had grown up in the city from the time I was 7 and I had worked and been down by the WTC more times than I could remember.

Folks, please don't ever forget what happened and what our freedom means.

We in Canada will never forget that either. I remember it well. I was on an island on a lake near here with a friend when her husband called and just said "turn on the TV" We watched is disbelief as the second plane flew into the tower. We stayed glued to the screen with tears streaming as the whole thing unfolded.

We are neighbors and will never forget!

I was upstate at a facility working in the kitchen when news of the first plane hitting the tower came in. One of the staff members son's was on one of the top floors of the tower and perished. It destroyed the staff members will to live and he left abruptly never to be seen or heard from again.

That was one story with one family. Multiply that by the thousands lost and the devastation of families really sets in.

My heart goes to all who experienced loss on that terrible day from alol 3 crash sites.

I will never forget.

This day changed the world. I was 16 years old on 9/11. I came from school and I was watching racing from Chantilly (France) on a nice sunny day here. My mother came to my room and said, that I should switch to CNN, because a small plane crashed in the WTC. I said to her, that I do not believe here.
But I switched to CNN and everybody thought it was an accident. I thought it was sad, but only an accident.
Then I saw the second airplane crashing in the other tower. Then everbody knew it was a terror attack. Europe had some smaller terror attacks, so the whole western world is not save anymore. I live near the biggest military station (Ramstein) outside the USA, so our town can understand even more the situation.

Germany and the USA are friends, so we will never forget!

Greetings
Tim

I woke up on 9/11 and turned on CNBC to get the stock quotes. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I watched for about an hour in stunned disbelief. I was still tired so I went back to bed.

When I woke up, I remembered having a very disturbing dream. It was a dream wasn't it? I mean, it had to be a dream. Slowly, I went to the television and turned it on.

It was no dream.

I took me a week to get over the shock. The thought that this could happen was beyond imagination--but it did. Pray to God that it never happens again.

Rather than try to understand all of the lives torn up that day, I chose to remember a little girl who had won a trip, sponsored by the National Geographic Society, to go to a bird sanctuary in California and was taking her FIRST plane ride. A good student in her middle school her father was a janitor there. Miss Asia Cottom.

At the time I was working in high crime precint, as a NYPD Sgt ,what I remember most was the outpouring of support from a
community that resented its police force. I recall seeing streets that were full of illegal activity were replaced by people holding
american flags and praying.

I recently retire, and what I remember most about that day was what ensue afterwards. A crime ridden Community thanked its police force
and showed respect to the greatest country and city, in the history of the world.

My daughter sent me this. I had seen it once and forgotten about it. Worth watching.

God Bless America and all that it stands for.

Acknowledging/Honoring the Victims of 9/11/2001.

I SAW this commercial in 2002 [Budweiser
Clydesdale's Honoring the site of the
Tragedy in New York].

This IS the BEST COMMERCIAL I have
ever seen! Click on the snopes link below,
it will bring you to the video. Turn your
speakers on!!

If you have NEVER seen it -
you will never forget it!

If you HAVE SEEN it -
you will have never forgotten!!

Budweiser only aired it once - they
did not want to benefit financially,
they only wanted to acknowledge
the tragedy!

We will NEVER FORGET!

That was so cool it left me at a loss for words after I watched it yesterday. I had never seen that before. Talk about something leaving a lasting impression in one's mind. Wow
Thanks Bud
