I see the 2 as a vulnerable ML favorite. Has been running stakes races and is now for sale for 30g's makes me wonder what's up with that. But he, like the 9, has won more than 2 races so he's for sale if he's in this race.
I wish he had more lines, but the 3 catches my eye. He likes it up front, has ran some fast fractions, doesn't mind the slop, and may benefit from the 3 hole if the 2 doesn't wake up. Other than possibly the 2, I don't see too much pressure up front (unlike BillV's Parx race). The 10 has shown some E but we're not racing up in Stickney today. Then again, I made some crack a while back about an Ellis mud line that proved inaccurate. Need some odds but I like the 3 |

The # 3 wins and another favorite. Congrats to lostandwon, The Pook and the Monkey.
I remember at a seminar at Laurel in the early 90's Tom Brohammer was asked about a longshot in a race to which he replied, "Who's the best horse in the race.? The attendee replied, "The Favorite." Tom than answered, "Then why are you trying to beat him?" We can't control what they pay. The conditions of this race favored younger horses. I downgraded the # 2 for being a 7 year old that hasn't won this prior. Also he seemed to never run two good races back to back. I hate that as it indicates a total soundness and consistency problem. He is racing sound but has some type of problem. I suppose that issue told on him in the stretch as the 3 passed him for the win. Thanks Mike for the race.
