M4$16/2 Call for Players

Saratoga is upon us and fall will soon be here. As promised the M4$ second leg Fall Contest will start Aug 6. After a survey of M4$ players some changes have been made so READ THE FINE PRINT!

Everyone is welcome to play using your own interpretation of Jim Bradshaws Matchup. If you are a beginner and want to learn start here:
http://paceandcap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5715
More advanced players will find gold here:
http://paceandcap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10335

You will not master this over the course of 20 weeks but it is a fun way to dive in and rub shoulders with other beginners, and some intermediate and advanced players. There is no one way to do this and because of all the variables, points of view, and randomness over just 20 challenges anything can happen. So if you don't mind ponying up $50, laying your thoughts out in public, and having some fun on the side every Saturday reply to this thread.

Folks I don't mind putting the time in for this thing but it will only go if we can get at least 5 replies of confirmation to start by midnight August 4. When replying indicate whether you wish to help with race posting.

Thanks,
Pook

(P.S. It looks like there may be a kind of Matching workshop between two more advanced Matchers on this site (RichieP and Mark) the weekend of July 30 in the Matchup Discussion Forum, so watch for that)

I will give it a go. I like the rules changes. But to clarify, are we allowed a max of $8 per race this time? Pat C.

Pat that is right but not an $8 betting unit. You would only have $8 into a race if you bet two horses win and place..(4x$2=$8). Minimum would be $2 to win or $2 to place on one horse. So any combination of $2 betting units on one or two choices.

Pook,

Thanks for all you do here. I'm in and willing to post races. I will be on vacation from Aug 10-24 and Sept 14-28th. The trip in September, I will be coming through Toronto and would like to get together with the locals at Woodbine either Sat. 9/24 or Sun 9/25.
