Happy Birthday

Howard Sartin's Birthday is celebrated today October 3rd

For many years now we have been on our own since Doc's passing

Each day I think of the man as I live a much happier life since we met

May we all celebrate and win and enjoy a full life

Happy birthday to Howard Sartin

B

It's always a pleasure to remember the 'founder of the feast' - thanks Bill.

Everything we do here, every post, every friendship made, every group outing to Saratoga or Del Mar or wherever - has Doc Sartin as its original organizing energy.

Wishing everyone a happy day!

Ted

Amen, thanks Bill!
Thankful for all he taught me, either himself or through his "team."

Thanks Bill for remembering. Using what i learned from Howard, I supplied winning picks to someone who then kindly introduced me to the woman who became my wife, and she later met and liked Howard.

Thank you Bill...happy birthday to the "DOC" I think about him everyday when I look at all those follow- ups on my book shelf and I thank the Lord that he helped me to learn what I know about life, about working hard and not giving up on myself...Randy A.

It is correct to honor the man that made all this possible. Happy Birthday Doc and thank you for making me a winner of races and in life.

Sartin was incomparable in the racing world. He was so far ahead of his peers he failed to get his just recognition, legends tend to bloom rather than wilt and fade.

The racing world still fails to understand many of his great innovated concepts. Pace is just one such great achievement of his, however we never hear his name when Pace is talked about outside of this forum. He elevated Pace to a level far above the comprehension of most, thus his great work was misunderstood. Far ahead of his era but the legend shall grow.
