Greetings from the Midwest

Hello everyone,

I have finally decided to come the RDSS route. I used HTR primarily for the past few years, but found myself wanting a bit more?, maybe more is the wrong word- something different.

Over the past year, I have gone back and forth on what I wanted out of a program- and after reading through forums here and around the internet...decided here I am.

I will say so far I really like the layout of the software, and the maneuverability as I handicap a race. The segment tab is very interesting to get a visual, however, the ability to change and make non-contenders right in the program, the separation is mentally helpful

Anyway- I look forward to learning from all of you and reading as much as I can . So- I plan on spending a lot of time on races Bill V posts, and everyone else, as I fine tune my approach here.

Welcome to RDSS. Enjoy yourself and do not be afraid to post questions. In particular, read the glossary prepared by Mick. It will help a lot.

Welcome Hanger! I echo everyone's sentiments above and wish you much curiosity and enjoyment.

Possibly you already found it, but here is the RDSS 2.1 Documentation thread, including a link to the Glossary prepared by judge Mick (ret.) or 'MacTavish' depending on which board he's posting on:

http://paceandcap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10574

Let folks know if any races baffle you (from a RDSS point of view), or if you ace a particular opportunity (by skill or by luck, no problem!). If you can learn how to capture and post screenshots to illustrate questions, a picture is often worth > 999 words

Best,

Ted

Thank you everyone, I look forward to diving in over the next few weeks. I’ve been fortunate in learning software quickly so I was confident until I saw the glossary was 52 pages. I’ll definitely be looking for feedback as I’m sure everyone uses it different just a touch
