Its that time of year

In the last week or so both TAM and GP have been carding races for 3 yo and up. In many cases it limits the possible winners to just the older horses.

Access the race charts and see for your selves how many 3 YO even hit the board. Its a great eliminator now and until the 3YO mature more later in the summer.

FTL once pointed out that until a horse had run competitively against older horses it was good to bet against them. Remember only two short months ago today's 3YO were TWO YEAR OLDS. And many of the so called 3YO horses have not even passed their actual third birthday, which you can see just to the right of the horses name in RDSS.

While this horse is not a 3 YO, he won't be six until April 30th

Cheers

Arbitrarily since March 18 at TAM, 12/16 won by 4YO+ and 7/8 at GP.

I forgot to mention that you should check to see if any of the 3 YO had run a race against older horses, a race that would qualify it as a contender. You can keep these types for final consideration.

Shoulda said something earlier.

Good example was MaryAnnorGinger today at OP.
Only 3yo in the field.
Had never beaten even other 3 yos.
Favorite - up the track.
