RDSS Time zone setting - tote info

I'm replying here to this emailed support query in case the answer can be helpful to others.

I have installed Rds22 with little trouble. There is one item I wanted to ask about: The post time displayed for Race 1 at Gulfstream today (2022/02/17) is 1 hour off. I'm located in the Central Time Zone. Is there a setting to adjust for this?
Welcome to RDSS! RDSS doesn't have an internal setting to know the time zone you are sitting in at the moment, rather it relies on the System clock and Timezone settings. It fetches tote-related MTP times from TwinSpires at the moment, which it gets in Eastern Standard times (hence the 1 hour difference for you). I am working on adding an internal Config setting to specify your Time Zone (i.e. a UTC offset) so tote data and local post times can appear relative to your local time. Hopefully next major update, later this year.

MEANWHILE - you can work around this issue by changing your Windows clock to the same time zone as the track you are playing. This doesn't completely help if you're working multiple tracks in different time zones, but it's a start. OTHERWISE, I mentally subtract 60 (or 120 or 180) minutes from the MTP time depending on where I'm sitting at the moment (180 for me, sitting on the West Coast).

I hope that is helpful.

Ted
