What a terrible shame if this comes to pass. I guess money talks.

Like a lot of the old dog tracks here. Sadly some of them end up being worth more as real estate than they could generate as a going concern.

Is this concerning Pim!ico? Why keep it open just because of the Preakness? Just run it at Laurel?

I kinda thought the new name for Pimlico if they ever decided to switch over to Laurel is “Pimlico at Laurel Park”

Kinda like “Woodbine Mohawk Park” in Cambellville/Milton when Woodbine Harness switched to Mohawk full time year round and became “Woodbine Mohawk Park” to remember Woodbine in the name.

Sad to see if The Big A would go to Belmont then that can become “Aqueduct at Belmont Park” or just Belmont Park full time if they want to leave it like that. Would that mean Belmont is year round racing since they would be racing Winter Spring and Fall? Saratoga is the summer place to be like what Trotta Furlong says! Excited for the future!

Aqueduct ended the inner in 2017. Fall 2017 is the first of the "new" surface for Aqueduct's main track. What you had when they shut down in March is what you will get when they re-open in a couple of weeks.
