Exclamation Profit Line not working in RDSS

PL ratings/rankings all showing as zeros - and listed as not available on the Twinspires grid (as of 8:00 a.m. today 4/27/18. Did something change, or are they simply late this morning?

Sometimes TS is late posting ProfitLine numbers. Though the grid for today's races IS available (the one which pops up when you click the ProfitLine button in RDSS), the ProfitLine column might show as NA, NA, NA ...

Solution: just wait until the PL numbers in that grid are there, then re-assemble the race.

For today Friday April 27, PL appears to be available for all tracks, where a few minutes ago, every sample track I tried showed PL = 1 1 1 1 1 1 ... in RDSS.

Just re-assemble races after downloading ProfitLine again, and all should be normal again

Ted

Thanks Ted - I suspected that might be the case. Good to go. Gary

Another Problem with ProfitLine data

Tonight (May 2, 2018) RDSS gets this message when trying to download ProfitLine from TwinSpires.

Nothing to be done about it (no point calling TS support and complaining that some program named 'RDSS' cannot connect and scrape ProfitLine data from the TS site ...).

Let's just wait until tomorrow Thursday May 3 to see if things settle down again. I'll check in the morning.

I might recall that TS always gets a little unpredictable around this time of year ...

As of this morning Thursday May 3, RDSS is still unable to retrieve ProfitLine data from TwinSpires. I suspect the TS site code has changed, although you can still see the PL data on the site. I am working on this further right now.

Of course this happens just before Kentucky Derby

This means if you download ProfitLine in RDSS, the numbers you get will be wrong, and useless. I recommend NOT downloading them until this gets fixed. If you have already downloaded them, ignore the Rx3 readout (which incorporates ProfitLine) and substitute Rx2 (or Rx1).

I will NOT be able to fix this and update RDSS before the Derby. Regardless of whether this issue fixes itself eventually, the already planned and in-the-works update to RDSS 2.1 re the tote system and secure TrackMaster access (the promised Phase 2 of the last update) will fetch ProfitLine in a different way which so far still appears reliable.

Ted:
I also noted that New Pace is not working for me, as well as Profit Line.

Upon further review, it appears that I now only have one screen and not two which I normally use......and the ability to make screen adjustments is gone
