wagercapping per follow-up #75

In the above metioned follow-up there is a discussion by the capper concerning horse selection to the effect that we should start with the minimum acceptable odds and then chose the highest remaining overlay. I am a bit confused. Is this referring to tiers, odds or what?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Joe

Doc's guidelines were not to bet on horses with odds of less than 5/2
so that was his suggested minimum.
Here is an example
If your top 4 horses had odds of
horse A 4/1
Horse B 2/1
Horse C 8/1
Horse D 9/5

and you followed Doc's guidelines of not less than 5/2
Than your bets would be on horse A and C

anyway welcome to Pace and Cap

What about the race with 4/1, 3/1, 8/1 and 10/1? This is where I'm unsure. Thanks.

Nobody to say

Hey Joe

Everybody should make this call based on what they feel
is best for them
Doc's guidelines would say
the 3/1 and 8/1

the 3/1 is the horse that is above his min odds
the 8/1 is the high odds tier3 type that for most wagercappers offers the best value
The 10/ 1 tier 4 horse sould be considered
if it shows good readout support in Total Energy
Total Speed Total Pace Potental VDC and Deceleration

Its up to you to bet and live with your decisions
If you bet the 3/1 and 8/1 your going to do fine
If you bet the 4/1 and 10/1 you will do fine
if you bet 8/1 and 10/1 you will win but not as often

The Sartin Methodology is about finding ways to win and making decisions
