Sprints
Quote:
Saturday was very muddy, so I passed the races, The combination of the off track and lots of horses coming off long layoffs. said so. Yesterday was listed as "good" I remember reading in one of the follow ups that a drying out track favors a little less early energy than the model says. Race 7 was a nice example. Horse 10 did not show much, on the RX3 screen at least being in the top 4 But I made a correct call based on the readouts . #10 Big Red Seven rated well on profit line (3) All the Sup. and POR readouts, Total energy and VDC (2) and LPR (2) So I went to the TPR screen, Horse 10 is just slightly on the early side , Against all the other Early energy horses, Horse 10 is the counter energy. I also like P5 horses with good LPR ratings Horse 10 won and paid $37.00 I welcomed it very much As I got knocked out in the GP Jackpot pick 6 in the 3rd leg I only went to deep on that leg my 4 horse finished 2nd' Ticket cost me $57 It's always the 4 horse Race 7 winner #10 Big Red I used line 3 I excused line 1 - and line 2 was too early and on the TP Poly |

Nice call on that 10 & great price. BIG CONGRATS!!!!
Knowledge of how a track acts to the weather is very important to those playing only 1 or 2 tracks. E.g. Years ago Mth. use to get very fast when wet & sloppy. When drying out it got very slow & muddy before returning to fast. Each track has its own nuances & it pays to know your favorite track. Good analysis, Mitch44 |

Today 2/2, seems like it may be day worth studying a little more in depth. Early speed / long prices carried the day... might check on what closers made up any ground for future dates

Bill V. - Thanks
Bill V. - Much appreciated, as I am playing Oaklawn over the weekend, and it looks like a tough track to play.
