10/24/20 BELMONT RECAP - this needs it own thread!
10/24/20 BELMONT RECAP -- 9 races; races 1 & 5 were maidens, PASS
5 #1 winners; $19.20; $10.40; $4.50; $48.20; $20.40 1 #2 winners; $9.40 0 #3 winners 2 #4 winners; $9.60; $12.40; 1 Not in Top 4 Exotics in Top 4 4 $1 EXs $29.50; $24.20; $20.10; $9.70 3 $0.50 TRIs $46.75; $82.00; $41.25 2 $0.10 SUPERs $21.37; $19.12 6 $1 DDs; $37.25; $39.00; $22.10; $60.50; $121.00; $74.50 4 $1 P3s; $80.50; $392.00; $293.50; $1,203.00 1 $0.50 P4; $2,049.25 1 $0.50 P5; $10,084.25 1 $0.20 Empire P6 6 OF 6 6/1/1,2,7/6/2/4 $33,367.60 Notes – Holy crap what an emotional day! RE-LEARNED a LOT of lessons; 1. Don’t be(t) scared, you did the work, now GO FOR IT! 2. Stick with 1 track at a time, MAYBE two… Disappointed that I also singled the 2nd leg as in the P6! Had I gone 4 deep to get the winner, would’ve cashed $25K - $30K! Even more disappointed that I did not make P3 – P5 wagers …lost $17 overall for the day |

Outstanding capping Jimmy. 4 double digit winners in the #1 slot.

Thanks Tim but I'm so bummed about my wagering. I'm beside myself. Everything aligned today, almost perfectly!

Thanks for telling me about this Jimmy! As Yogi Berra said, 90% of this game is half mental. Or, 40% handicapping, 60% betting strategy and another 25%+ self-mastery.
With those results - especially the 4 double-digits winners - the game will start to lean your way again with a consistent approach. Though it requires nerves of steel, or extreme dispassion, when your method gives generously one day and takes back the next day. You've shown you know how to zero in on those bread and butter bets: Wins, DDs, Pick3s. Sweep up a few of those low-handing mutuels and build your bankroll for the tougher P4,5,6s. Keep close records of all these decisions, find out how to make them consistently, bet according to your bankroll. And give thanks regularly to the horse racing gods (and your mentors ). And, welcome back to the game! Doc and your Dad would be proud of you! Ted
