PRX use of off track lines in certain circumstances
Tim:
I ran into this situation at PRX today in race one. I know you rarely use off track pacelines, but this winner brought up a question for me. Here are the screen shots. first the PPs. Attachment 50775 Attachment 50776 Attachment 50777 Originally I used line 5 because it was a fast track. I checked the %med and found that line 2 was the same, so my question is, if the off track line (2) is reasonably close to the fast track line (6), but has a better perceptor rating, would you use it, even though it was from an off track Thanks, Last edited by Bill Lyster; 01-25-2023 at 08:48 PM. |

These shots might have been missed from the above post. PPs, RX screen, etc.

Hi Bill. Pace line selection is entirely up to the user. For me the trk for r1 was listed as good. Lines 1 & 2 were on a sly sealed race trks. Line 3 had a TV of 39 so wouldn't use it either. So to answer your question no I wouldn't use any of the top 3 unless I had no other choice but that is my preference. You will notice that was the case with #4. All of its' lines were either on all weather or turf except line 5 from Fort Erie on a sly sealed trk with a tv of 32. I bit the bullet and used it since it was on a dirt surface.
Tim.

I wrote a program that weighs various factors, most of which I learned on this board. Not saying I did this well or exactly as others would have done, but just so you'll know where the computer led me, here are the lines the program selected:
#1: 2 #2: 4 #3: 4 #4: 2 #5: 2 #6: 2 #7: 1 #8: 1 |
