We have to keep mind the the trainers must do what the owners want. A lot of owners keep their horses where they can watch them run and may not want to relocate. Besides if GP, and MD tracks follow suite it shrinks the playing field especially for turf horses.

The key here right now is that no firm date has been set. I'm guessing that this will start at Santa on 3/22 when live racing returns from the hiatus, but with more questions than answers, don't be surprised if these new policies are held up until after the big events of 4/6. A lot of these raceday drugs have a withdrawal timeline, and are bound to cause some issues.

from twitter: Christina Blacker Per TSG release:
• All horses born in or after 2018 will race at Santa Anita and Golden Gate with no race day medication.
• Horses born prior to 2018 will be permitted to race on Lasix at a maximum of 50% of the current levels

The Yin and Yang as the beat goes on. Excellent article that presents both sides of the issue. I'm sure this controversy will continue.
