Bill, have you ever re-capped races choosing different running lines to see how it affects the readouts?
What I mean is, have you altered line choice in an effort to produce readings coinciding with the actual results?

Bill Mott did a masterful training job, getting Ron the Greek to peak for this race; Mott also trained Flat Out... In Ron the Greek's last two pacelines, it looks like the horse ran to the mile marker; then galloped out?? Breeder's Cup Classic is shaping up as a great race. Pletcher holding a couple of strong cards for this race. |

did once
Hello
I used to . but now I just go back and check if there was something I missed I don't change my lines. I did not bet the gold cup but I always want to see how my contenders and readouts do. I guess you may have noticed ( and I hope people start to do the same thing ) I almost always post the winning horse in all the races I present after the results are in. Ron the Greek is a good older horse but what has he done lately ? Do I see a plus recent pace line ? So to answer your question, No I look and them move on I sent two races from Parx to a friend of mine today. Both races were races I passed but kicked myself for passing, Both races the winner was right on top using the guidelines posted here in the teaching area. I wrote to my friend how I had the contender but did not bet the race. I hope this answers your question. No I don't make RDSS "get" the winner by changing my lines. I just rethink my decisions. line 4
Come on Lone Speed
The saying is If I used line 4 anyway I find it a little hard to believe any trainer could look his owner in the eye and say he is using two grade 1 races at Sartoga as prep races. I think cross traffic blowing the break made it a paceless race and what usually happen in a paceless race ? chaos |

One cannot zig and zag with one's approach to paceline selection to fit the result chart after the race. This is one surefire way to get into trouble and frustration. It behooves one to have a systematic and disciplined approach; whether it is: A)best of the last three pacelines B)Following For The Lead's guidelines C)Following Jim Bradshaw's MatchUp principles |
