Tandem races

The second race at Belmont today is a classic example of the value of looking at tandem races. The favorite #1 beat the the #7 horse by a neck last time out. Today the #1 is 4/5 and is 0/10 lifetime. The #7 is 7/2. Somewhat of a no brainer and the #7 wins easily.

Another example in 2nd race today at Belmont. The favorite (#7) is making his 2nd career start off a 6month lay off. The #3 horse ran against the favorite getting beat by a length and is now making his 3rd start off a layoff. The favorite went off at 8/5 finishing 4th. His tandem partner went off at 9/2 and won the race.
