deceleration

Is deceleration from the 2nd call to the end of the race pretty much linear or does it drop off more quickly? Any ideas? I was thinking we could use a simple linear function to correct the 3rd fraction for different distances instead of using the more complicated method which requires you to look up special values for each track as described in the Yellow Manual.
