My look
Race 7
Horse 1 Eckersley No real success turf routing, Its best TPR is on the poly track at GG 431 days ago, Line 1 is a 0 race but also a trouble line, and the first race back after a 431-day layoff Horse 2 Cowboy This one is also running in the second race after a long layoff of 358 days It's best TPRS are 171-172 so I will use line 3, excusing line 1 and 2 = wrong distance and surface Horse 3 Burnaroundtheedges Two-time winner. Line 1 is a + recent turf route 178 TPR Horse 4. Shortcomingstorm EP Pace only line 4 Horse 5 Buckys Pick E7 Early pace threat, No other choice but line 3, Line 1-2 are down the hill Horse 6. Klondike Creek EP5 Line 2 is the closest to today's distance. It's a + paceline but at 10 furlongs 174 TPR Horse 7 Donji I will go to line 4, This horse shows a 179 and 2 races in the 180's TPRS Runs well on both turf and poly. Pace looks to be fast so I will use line 4 where it closed well off a 79 EPR Horse 8 Conquest Superstar EP8 Comes back off a 449-day layoff I will rate using line 2 I will make win bets on the 7 and 3, Maybe include the 8 as a throw in a double. |

Another tough one.
# 6 is consistent, best dis. appears to be 9F so todays cut back makes sense, contender and figures to go off the favorite after a layoff, also has an age advantage over field. I'll try to beat him. # 5 an unknown factor, has proven dis. & surface but only one race, could be anything. best was in a sprint and maybe better sprinting but until races a route 3 x who knows. The sprint could also be a sign of great class even at a route. Can rate. # 2 is outclassed and best races are longer, needs longer and is at a disadvantage here probably making the race go and a prep for longer. Toss. I'll go 1-3-6-7 Don't see any decent possible DD, ex also not reassuring , $ 2 win bet on 1 & 3 Mitch44 Last edited by Mitch44; 08-04-2017 at 06:03 PM. |

The 5 and 4 should be on the lead, the 1 and the 6 should get the first run. I’ll go OTE with the 1 and the 6.

No patterns but will see if I can grind out a matchup.
4 and 5 are early but I don't think they will wire. 2 and 7 are sustained and I think will be too far back off a pace that won't collapse. 1,3 and 6 seem to be about right for positions to close from. Of these 3 and 6 seem fastest. The 6 has beaten 3 twice in tandems. Might the 3 be able to reverse the tandems today? I'll go 6,3 @ 60/40 Pook |

How about that a cold TRi. yesterday and today a cold TRi. & SF. I guess it can't get better than that. Monkey gets an extra banana for that stuff. I bet it early and was surprised the odds drop that much on the #1 , I was rooting for the 3 who came back nice.
Nice call mowens33 Thanks for the challenge. Mitch44, Last edited by Mitch44; 08-04-2017 at 10:26 PM. |
