My first post of a big race, my thoughts are any of the top 3 have a good chance for the upset.

Bill, your good! I feel the horses that have run both KD and Preakness will not be at there best so I picked the lines accordingly.

IF CC line for the K-Derby was good enough to win it is good enough for me.

Mike,
Can you give your rationale for not using Ride on Curlin's last race, the Preakness? Good effort against a much faster pace. Just curious. Ted

My thinking was that maybe it was to good of an effort, best byers than a slow 7F work on top of the triple crown grind.

But I always thought the methodology was about rating contenders off pace lines. ROC ran very well in the Preakness Isn't it more fair to the other horses in the race to rate ROC off that effort ? Then if the others are close in the readouts, and offer better odds, Then ROC should be bet against. RDSS or any Sartin program is rating pace lines against other pace lines Your handicapping is sound. Why show a RDSS analysis screen shot? if your mixing good lines with off lines? I can see how this could be confusing to new users who go strictly by who is ranked in the top 3 VDC or BLBL and bet off the final odds. The way Doc advised . |
