Remembering my time at 2017 Breeders' Cup in Del Mar with Bill V. Today was also his birthday.

Wow, never lost a race like the final today. Had the double and pick 3 and winner ends up running for purse money only!?

I'm thinking about retirement from this business....

I'm trying to figure out what happened. I could not watch the video as it was blacked out to my ADW. On the RDSS tote flow and on AmWager the #1 was shown scratched, along with the #2. Of course the #1 was a primary contender along with the #4 #10 #6 and #3. I saw afterwards that the #1 got scratched then ran or purse money

Some kind of weird gate incident? Looking for more pre-race video. WTF?

The Ireland-bred colt was the 2-1 favorite in a field of 12 at the world championships on Friday at Del Mar. He was in the No. 1 post position and Albahr was in the No. 2 spot.

Modern Games reared up and hit the back of the starting gate, causing Albahr to flip over and become lodged underneath the gate.
Initially, the crowd of 20, 536 was told that Albahr was scratched. Soon, it was announced that Modern Games was scratched, too. Both are trained by Charlie Appleby.
